A.J Hamilton has worked in fashion and advertising for almost a decade. Upon graduation he won the AOP student photographer of the year award for a series he shot with member of the Acholi tribe in North Uganda. He has since had work feature in publications around the world. His current work is heavily influenced by classic art forms, focussing largely on the Renaissance period. The colours & tones imbued throughout his work bear witness to the expertise he has developed in lighting & post production. Images demonstrate a sophisticated understanding of the relationship between colour & mood. As often with the works of the Old Masters, his images focus largely on the female form, with an emphasis on bold & intricate adornment of the body.
